Monthly Sales Reports

Updated as of July 3, 2019:a monthly sale report is released around the third business day of the month
Same-store sales refer to the difference in revenue generated by our existing outlets that have been open for at least 19 months, compared to an identical period in the previous year.

Summary

In June, Toridoll’s net sales were up 11.1%, same store sales were up 5.1%, and Marugame Seimen’s same store sales were up 5.6% respectively, compared with the same month last year. The results likely reflect one extra weekend day in June when compared to the same month last year and we estimate the day-of-the-week effect to be approximately 1.8%. Also, we added three new locations in June.

To boost sales and footfall, Marugame Seimen has continued to sell Gyu Torotama Udon, which was launched in April. As a part of our continuous effort to boost revenue and footfall, we have launched a new nationwide TV ad campaign boasting “the Marugame texture” to communicate the quality and freshness and of our products.

Number of customers have increased throughout June, up 4.7% year-on-year after reflecting the day-of-the-week effect. Much of this was due to the positive effects of a variety of new branding and marketing strategies from the end of January this year, as well as the increased ad volume, up 1.9 times when compared to the same month last year.

With customer satisfaction as our primary focus, we aim to develop a steady stream of new and high value-added products, while reaching larger and more targeted audiences as well as building brand awareness using digital marketing strategies.

In an effort to create a clean and pleasant dining environment, we are doing all we can to maintain the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and safety and cleanliness of our restaurant.
